2/11/2024 0 Comments Elvenar gems tournament troops![]() ![]() You can scout a province by choosing to do a manual fight and then quit, do this with your highest initiative troop. So all of 1 type of unit is easier for the AI then 3 or 4 different units. With auto fights the AI seems to cope better the less units types you enter. The more varied the enemy types the more likely losses might occur. Losses are inevitable assess possible losses against the cost of negotiation, it can be cheaper to negotiate if losses are expected to be high. Manual fights will typically cost you less units, learning to fight early when fights are easier will save you in the long run. Fight difficulty ranges from easy (you outnumber the enemy), fair (evenly matched), difficult (enemy out numbers you a little), to impossible (enemy outnumbers you by 2 or more). The best way to do this is to compare your squad size to that of the enemy. As such your strategy needs to vary slightly to allow for these bonuses.īefore trying any fight you need to decide if you should fight. However at the expert level units obtain special abilities that the earlier levels did not have, this is for enemy and friendly units alike. Generally the strategies needed do not change as you progress through the better unit levels. Sometimes it is simply adding a II or a III and sometimes words will be added to the name like “Bud” for the Bud Sorceress the expert level Sorceress for Elves.įor the sake of simplicity most of the graphics and comments refer to the basic unit. The names of the units change as they progress through these levels. Please note for this section of the guideĮvery unit has 3 levels, basic, advanced, expert. Note this information is only valid for world map provinces and not tournaments which have a different randomised approach. The below information is looking at how to turn the unit information into a strategy of your own. The changes have NOT "balanced" the game in the slightest. This guide forms part of a larger guide Mykans Guideįor a list of unit details please refer to the Elvenar Wiki or to the units section of Elven Architect. ![]() Please stop "fixing" a game that worked really well before. I now find I have to "negotiate" territory because I have almost zero chance of winning many of the battles being offered. I am one "improvement" away from abandoning the game. Every "improvement" feels like it is coming from the Marketing Department and not the actual players, game testers or developers. It is my experience that the game is becoming less and less enjoyable with every "upgrade". I am getting fed up with having to backtrack when someone on Hamburg has a "good idea". It is my opinion that these should have been given to those who were already past that point on the tech tree. I am usually facing 5 or more in a single province - no chance of winning whatsoever with a squad size of 699.Įvery troop type has a match that can make short work of it - unfortunately with the recent changes many of those are no longer available to us until we spend (waste) KPs in developing those technologies and spend (waste) money, resources and time building new (and pointless) buildings. They are now extremely tough and difficult to damage, very powerful, now move further, have a longer range and gang up on your strongest units, destroying them quickly and giving you no chance of victory. ![]() The Enchantress II is a good example of a troop type that has been grossly upgraded. It is not so much that the battles are unwinnable, but more that some of the enemy troops are now way more powerful than before. The game makers making changes are putting too much emphasis on targeting the higher level players with their changes and making the game harder for them, and they seem to forget the lower less elite players like myself who are struggling. There is no way people should be fighting enemies in tournaments that are 2 levels higher than their own level. It seems to me the game makers are making it so you have to purchase items such as gems to have any decent chance of progressing well, which is wrong. For example, I am losing fights where there is only 1 level 1 swamp monster yet I am using 3 level 2 treants which should simply not be happening. Also, I am experiencing issues with losing fights when I am using what I think to be better quality fighters. I am in the dwarves section and in tournaments I find myself fighting Orcs which I should not have to do when they are 2 chapters above me. You are not alone on issues with battles, it seems to me the game makers are making the fights too hard to win, I am a lower level player, and find myself fighting enemies that are 2 chapters above myself, and you simply cant win them. ![]()
